Beaks and Bills, Feathers and Quills - May 6, 2017
Bird Watch Celebrate Bird Day with our feathered friends at Wildlife Safari Park on Saturday, May 6 from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Learn about birds, design bird crafts and explore on your own to catch a glimpse of various ducks, geese and cranes with binoculars. Event activities are free to Wildlife Safari Park members or with paid Wildlife Safari Park admission.
BioBlitz - May 20, 2017

BioBlitz is a 24-hour event in which teams of volunteer scientists, families, students, teachers and other community members work together to find and identify as many species of plants, animals, microbes, fungi and other organisms as possible.

Join us at Wildlife Safari Park on Saturday, May 20, from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. to do just that. Guests will have the chance to participate in butterfly netting, bug catching and plant identification during the day and then, can spend the night at Wildlife Safari Park and participate in an early morning bird watch.

Event is free for Wildlife Safari Park members or with paid Wildlife Safari Park admission. Overnight stay is an additional $10 per participant and requires pre-registration.

Croakers and the Creek - June 3, 2017

Leap on over to Wildlife Safari Park to learn about the amazing world of amphibians. Participate in froggy crafts and other educational activities from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2017. Also, sign up to be a Frog Watch volunteer. Learn how to test for chytrid fungus, identify frog calls and all things that make frogs go ribbit. Event activities are free to Wildlife Safari Park members or with paid Park admission.

Going Buggy - August 5, 2017

They creep and crawl, dangle and fly. Come discover what else bugs can do on Saturday, August 5, 2017, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Wildlife Safari Park. Fly over to Wolf Canyon to check out bug displays, learn about the important role in nature that bugs play and participate in buggy crafts. Before leaving the area, be sure to explore and see what type of creepy crawlies you can find on your own! Event activities are free to Wildlife Safari Park members or with paid Wildlife Safari Park admission.

Telescopes and Prairie Skies - April, May and June
Join Wildlife Safari Park's Education Staff and Omaha Astronomical Society members for telescope viewing, constellation education and gain a new appreciation of our nighttime environment. Cost is $13 per person and $10 per person for Wildlife Safari Park members. Classes will be held from 8 to 10 p.m. to take advantage of the night sky at Wildlife Safari Park. How about an overnight experience?

Perseid Meteor Shower Campout:
The Perseid Meteor Shower is one of the brighter meteor showers of the year. Imagine viewing around 40 meteors per hour. Join us on an overnight experience that you will not soon forget. Campout hours are from Saturday, August 12 at 6:15 p.m. to Sunday, August 13 at 8 a.m. Campout includes campout programming, overnight stay in platform canvas tent with cots, Wildlife Safari Park admission, evening snack, backpacker's breakfast and an animal visit from one of our Animal Ambassadors. Guests are also welcome to bring their own tents to use. Cost is $37 per person with a minimum age of four years old for children. Call (402) 738-2058 to register.
Sounds of Fall - September 24, 2017
Sounds of Fall

Become an animal detective for a day! Learn to identify animals by their sounds, tracks and evidence they leave behind at Wildlife Safari Park during Sounds of Fall on Saturday, September 24, 2017, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Enjoy touching and feeling animal artifacts, participating in crafts and enjoying other special activities at Wolf Canyon. Event activities are free to Wildlife Safari Park members or with paid Wildlife Safari Park admission.

Haunted Safari - October 6-7, 2017
Haunted Safari

Take a ride on a hayrack ride as you travel down to Wolf Canyon, where you will enjoy a hot dog supper, roast marshmallows and play ghostly games for candies in the great outdoors during Haunted Safari. Cost for Wildlife Safari Park members is $18 and non-members is $23.

Reservations are required. Children 2 and under are free. Event cost does not include general Wildlife Safari Park admission during the operating hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
